Handloom is one of the
more ancient and basic method of preparing fabric
of any kind. Historically Handloom Carpet is a traditional
item made by village women and meant to be a part of the
daughter's dowry.
But today it is recognized beyond the confines of
villages and grace occasions quite diverse than
marriages.
The low-level machine sophistication of the shuttle
broad handloom, used to manufacture Marwar Carpets,
encourages experimentations with colour and design. So
you get an assorted range of design from the basic
striped to the more intricate hand carved designs on
soft pure wool. |
